Emily Hunsaker has over 20 years of experience in both for-profit and non-profit sectors with a focus on human resources and people functions. After beginning her career in corporate settings, she found her true calling in mission-driven work and has since dedicated herself to supporting organizations that make a positive impact.
Emily served as the Director of Human Resources at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Virginia, where she built the HR department from the ground up with a focus on collaboration and long-term sustainability. Most recently, she was a Senior Human Resources Business Partner at the Sierra Club, where she supported organizational growth and realignment, implemented new policies, and supported development and implementation of strategic goals.
Emily brings a thoughtful, people-centered approach to People Operations and thrives in environments where cross-functional teamwork and mission alignment are prioritized. Emily believes that people are our most valuable asset and believes in creating work environments that support employees to do their best work. Working in service to those who do the critical frontline work of saving the environment brings added joy and value to the work of People Operations.
