Emily has administered human resource functions for over 20 years in her career. She worked at for-profit centers before realizing that non-profit work is her calling. Since finding a passion working for mission-centered organizations she has been the Director of Human Resources at Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Virginia where she created the HR department in a collaborative and sustainable way. Most recently Emily worked as a Senior Human Resource Business Partner at Sierra Club where she worked to spread anti-racist values and center Jemez Principles throughout the organization.
Emily values collaborative work and supporting the work of the mission to save the planet. When she is not at work she is usually cheering on her kids at their sports, and musical endeavors, baking, listening to music, or watching a good mystery movie (since she doesn’t have as much time to read for pleasure in this season of life).
